For this aspect of our offering, support is led by Ben, who brings 30 years of extensive experience in the charity sector. His expertise spans roles as a paid leader, Trustee, and Chair; commissioning and supporting third-sector policy development; and a wide range of operational challenges.

Ben has set up charities from scratch, managed mergers (including both two-charity and multi-charity consolidations), transitioned a charity to independence from its parent body, successfully grown organisations, and navigated closures. He has a deep understanding of small charities with limited or no paid staff, volunteer-led organizations, federated charities, and large national charities delivering public sector contracts.

For strategy, business development, and digital transformation, we employ a service design approach. This means taking the time to truly understand your organization and the people you support, while ensuring they are actively involved in exploring and testing potential solutions.

For safeguarding, we utilise a bespoke development tool that begins with building a tailored risk profile. This informs the necessary policies and practices to suit your specific needs. Ben’s background as a registered social worker, safeguarding lead, and trainer allows him to bring multiple perspectives and a well-rounded approach to this critical area.
